SOX SEMINAR Reaction

SOX or Sarbanes Oxley Seminar do really help a lot for us to students to more understand the law itself and how is going to help us in many ways. Just what like the objective of the speaker, the seminar  provide background information on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), it help us understand the key SOX components and concepts it help us to know the implications of SOX and to be aware of our roles and responsibilities

To this seminar there was a line that the speaker let us explained and it goes like this, “IT is Business and Business is IT” meaning in order for a business to run effectively and efficiently it needs business and vice versa. And I learned also that Sarbanes Oxley Act was signed into U.S. law on July 30, 2002 because of Reaction to Enron, WorldCom, and other corporate scandals.

Among the topic that were discussed in the seminar what I do like most is that the IT Implications, Benefits of Sox, and the SOX Careers, because it really motivated me pursue more and to aim for the best. According to the seminar this will benefits us in a way that; better stakeholders confidence. Protection of the company which in turn protects the employees; new

opportunities for employment. As for the career this are the following, Information/Data Architect Information Security Expert, Control Analyst, SOX Consultant, Internal or External Auditor
